There are some security improvements on macOS for better user protection. Apple’s technology ensures only trusted software runs on a Mac now checks all apps for known security issues. At the same time, new data protections require all apps to get permission before accessing user files, video and screen recording, etc.
⚠️ Please ensure you use Monosnap v. 3.6.4 or higher. Go to Monosnap’s Preferences > General > About Monosnap.
Now you need to give permission Monosnap to screen recording. Complete these steps:
1️⃣ In the Apple menu, select System Preferences.
2️⃣ In the System Preferences window, select Security and Privacy.
3️⃣ Open Privacy tab > Screen Recording.
4️⃣ Press on the lock and enter the admin password to allow changes.
5️⃣ Press the "+" button to add Monosnap to the application list.
6️⃣ Select Monosnap checkbox to allow screen recording.
7️⃣ Restart your Mac.
Notes and tips:
⚠️ Remove the permissions in ‘System Preferences’ and then restart macOS. After booting up, start Monosnap again: permission auto-enabled itself in system preferences.
❗️Please remove and provide access one more time if it doesn’t help at first.
‼️If the problem persists, fully re-install Monosnap using our guide: How to reinstall Monosnap completely?
